豊橋技術科学大学主催の高専生のためのペナン島研修「A　プロジェクト体験型（2週間）2024年8月18日（日）～31日（土）」と
「B　異文化体験型2024年8月25日（日）～31日（土）」に本校の本科生6名が参加しました。
この研修は、グローバルな視野を身に付けた世界で活躍できる実践的技術者を育成するため、英語研修、企業視察、現地高校の訪問、
歴史文化施設視察等、多彩な活動により、参加学生がグローバルエンジニアとしての第一歩を踏み出す機会として提供されているものです。
今回は特別に、在ペナン日本国総領事館で総領事から日本とペナンの関係、領事からマレーシアの安全情報について説明を受けることも
できました。
短期間とはいえ参加学生にとっては、異文化体験に加え、多国籍企業を訪問するなど、グローバル化について考え、学ぶ貴重な
機会となりました。

Six Students Participated in the Penang, Malaysia Training for Technical College Students

“Six students from our school participated in the Penang Island training for technical college students, “A Project experience type (2 weeks) August 18th (Sun) to 31st (Sat) 2024” and “B Intercultural experience type August 25th (Sun) to 31st (Sat) 2024” organized by Toyohashi University of Technology.

This training is provided as an opportunity for participating students to take their first steps as global engineers through a variety of activities such as English language training, company visits, visits to local high schools, and historical and cultural facilities, in order to develop practical engineers who can be active around the world with a global perspective.

This time, we were also able to receive a special explanation from the Consul General of Japan in Penang about the relationship between Japan and Penang, and the Consul about safety information in Malaysia.

Although it was a short period of time, it was a valuable opportunity for the participating students to think about and learn about globalization, including experiencing different cultures and visiting multinational companies.
